International Student Handbook I 11 Accident Insurance Thaksin University provides Group Accident Insurance as a welfare benefit for all students. Coverage Details Covers students of all academic years 24-hour accident coverage Medical expenses covered in case of accidents Maximum coverage: 45,000 THB per incident Coverage period: June 1 (00:01 a.m.) – May 31 (00:00 a.m.) of the following year The insurance covers all types of accidents, from minor injuries to death. The insurance company will cover medical expenses and related costs. In severe cases such as permanent disability, loss of organs, or death, compensation will be paid to the insured person or the beneficiary stated in the policy. Covered accidents include general incidents such as falls, cuts, road accidents, etc., as well as unexpected events such as assault. Service Access Students may receive treatment at public hospitals and private hospitals and clinics nationwide and worldwide. Students must advance payment first and then submit documents for reimbursement. Required Documents 1) Claim form (available at the university clinic) 2) Original receipt 3) Original medical certificate 4) Police report copy (if applicable) 5) For compensation under Universal Health Coverage or compulsory motor insurance, the medical certificate must specify date and time of treatment
