Visa Extension Process

Step-by-step guide for extending your student visa at the Immigration Bureau

1

Check Visa Expiry Date

Ensure your remaining visa validity is 45 days or less — extensions cannot be processed if more than 45 days remain. Begin preparation at least 2 weeks in advance.

2

Contact IRO TSU for Official Letters

Request Items 3 and 8 (official university letter + map) from the International Relations Office. Allow sufficient processing time before your Immigration appointment.

3

Collect Faculty Documents

Obtain from your Faculty: transcript / enrollment certificate (Item 4), proof of tuition fee payment (Item 5), study timetable (Item 6), and activity photographs (Item 7).

4

Ensure TM.30 is Current

Your TM.30 must reflect your current address. Submit via the online form above if not yet reported. Keep the receipt as it is required (Item 3 of the checklist).

5

Submit at the Immigration Bureau with Authorized Officer

The student must be accompanied by an authorized officer. Arrange all 13 items in order. Bring the visa fee of 1,900 THB in cash. Collect your extended visa stamp on the same day or as advised.

IRO TSU organizes group visa extension appointments each semester. Contact the International Relations Office to join the group trip for easier processing and full staff support.
